“She also realized that there must be something to this tapping since today was the first day in a long time that she felt hopeful and flooded with new ideas. “With love, light, laughter, and with ease.”
Drove home from the Healer’s Gathering in Sisters, Oregon all day on Friday. I was delighted to stay with my dear friend and mentor (and the facilitator of The Healer’s Gathering, Katie Cavanaugh!) Saturday I awoke with either the flu or a deep cleanse. Not going into details, but today I am feeling mostly better and back to work and back to blogging!
My first client this morning suffers from depression and we have been working together for awhile now. I taught him the Emotional Freedom Technique, but he has not done it on his own so I modeled it with and for him using a video.
I started using EFT myself, also known as “Tapping” when I decided I wanted to lose weight. It is a great technique. I used the book The Tapping Solution for Weight Loss & Body Confidence: A Woman’s Guide to Stressing Less, Weighing Less, and Loving More by Jessica Ortner
Whatever your issue, you can use this too. Since I am not feeling well, I used the beginning sentence, “Even though my body aches, I deeply love and accept myself.”
Good news about my trip. I am within a pound of what I weighed when I left!
“It’s probably my job to tell you life isn’t fair, but I figure you already know that. So instead, I’ll tell you that hope is precious, and you’re right not to give up.” ― C.J. Redwine, Defiance
This series of blogs called iwannabeaskinnybitch.com began July 30, 2014. This has been my journey into health, exercise and weight loss after having a breakthrough in the journal class I was facilitating on the Fifth Chakra – The Power of Communication. You can read the whole story in this blog, but it ended with clear communication with mySelf and getting a personal trainer for exercise.
Well, I just about lost it! I was on a great path, being motivated and eating well and losing weight. Then I had some oral surgery which involved Hydrocodone, the withdrawal from Hydrocodone. Ugh!
Even though, Domingo walked me daily and we took some incredibly beautiful long walks. The day I was scheduled to go back to the gym, it was a rainy day. After a series of really hot days, I really wanted to just curl up and read.
I could see how I would have found all kinds of excuses not to go to the gym. Then I would be upset with myself and possibly give up on the process all together.
My scheduled appointment with Luke Brady was a godsend! I looked forward to his reminder text and showed up wimpy and disheveled. I just about lost it – I almost gave up. Instead – I left the gym energized, feeling hot, happy, motivated and back on track.
Whatever your struggle to get healthy, whether it be changes in diet, increasing your movement or educating yourself about your body, mind, Spirit connections – invest in yourSelf! Don’t give up!
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
― Martin Luther King Jr., A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches
Today is a great opportunity, not only to remember Martin Luther King, Jr., but to activate in your life today, and forward, the very characteristics that made him a great leader.
In your own life and business, how can the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. be a guide for you?
One characteristic comes from his famous speech “I Have a Dream.”
What is your dream for the world? With all the resources and cooperation you need, what changes would you make?
Envision the world you want to live in and the world you want to share with those you love.
What is your dream for your own life?
Martin Luther King, Jr. fought for equality when others would not. His life was one of education, service and leadership. He was involved in several groups and committees and learned to support and be supported in his endeavors in the civil rights movement.
How have you prepared yourself educationally to attain the goals you desire?
What services have you provided to help your community, a group or an individual? What services have you given to support your business?
How have you served in a leadership position and where have you found support for your causes?
Seemingly, taking a stand for Civil Rights alone, Martin Luther King, Jr. did not quit. Even while incarcerated he continued to work on his dream. He didn’t give up under the most difficult circumstances.
What are the hurdles you have to overcome to create your dream?
Today, what do you need to overcome to finish your project, take the next step or regain your focus?
What is the end result for your persistence? What is the planned goal and what will be your reward?
The Heart Chakra
“One love, one heart, one destiny.”
― Bob Marley
Writing about Love yesterday made me think about the heart chakra. When I was in my own heart, imaging those I love, I realized it was not my heart at all, but really the heart chakra that I focused on.
Many people are not aware of all the incredible information that is stored in the chakras. If you have ever had an intuitive reading from me, you know the power of this experience.
The heart chakra is the one people are aware of the most. It is the Power of Love. It relates to love, self-love, love of others, love of God (or your own word for the Divine,) affinity, loneliness, commitment, forgiveness, hope and trust.
On my website I have listed detailed information about each of the chakras. Take some time to journal about the fourth chakra and see how you can bring balance into your relationships and into your life.
Most of all though, practice focusing on your loved ones in your heart and experiencing the incredible feeling of love! When you do this you heal your heart and theirs!
