Vibrational Pre-Paving

It’s has been awhile since I blogged here and I want to catch you up. In December I decided to have my thyroid removed. Most of you know that holistic medicine is important to me and I talk about this in my book 12 Weeks to Self-Healing: Transforming Pain through Energy Medicine.

After finding I had a lump in my throat attached to my thyroid, rather than taking the doctor’s suggestion to have surgery I chose having ultrasounds every six months while I worked on self-healing. At first the growth stayed the same, but then another lump began to grow on the other side. The physical risk was that it would grow and wrap around my esophagus. I decided to have my thyroid removed. There was an emotional attachment to keeping all my organs, but this turned out to be a great decision.

My energy is much better and I can shift my weight now by diet and exercise, whereas before it was difficult to affect a change. It took some time to recover and much has happened since then which I’ll share in future blogs.

Today I want to share with you a video I listened to this morning as I walked Domingo along the Spokane river. This is Esther Hicks channeling Abraham. The topic is Weight Loss and Vibrational Pre-Paving which is “Thinking about a positive outcome from the action you’re about to take part in.”  Enjoy!

7 Steps to Intuitive Healing

Don’t try to comprehend with your mind. Your minds are very limited. Use your intuition.

 Madeleine L’EngleA Wrinkle in Time

When you hear the words intuitive healing, what comes to mind? Many people are searching today for informationhealing, and guidance. Although I am an intuitive healer and reader, my focus is empowering others to use their own intuitive abilities.

Intuitive healing can happen on many levels. You can receive a healing on a spiritual, mental, emotional or physical level. These levels are all related, but illness begins in the etheric field (the energetic field around the body) before it happens on the physical level. Therefore it is important to take steps to heal on all levels.

Photoshop Backup 7 580

Intuitive healing has a deep connection to the heart. You have a gentle, loving voice inside that guides you. This voice is a quiet voice and does not fight with or try to overcome the voice of the ego or the other voices within. Often we carry within a voice of a parent or authority figure. In psychology this is called an interject. It is important to discern between the voice that is coming from your intuition and the others.

Some refer to this inner voice as their Higher Self, their Guardian Angel, their Internal Coach or many other names. Whatever you call it is fine. Just know you are a reflection of the Divine and this voice is your connection to your own Divine Light. This Intuitive Voice is quiet and it guides you in many ways. It can also work with your intellectual or analytic mind when you are able to calm the constant mind chatter.  The Intuitive Voice has access to Oneness and when you learn to hear and understand, you will begin to feel peace.

There are several ways to begin to hear your Intuitive Voice and to heal yourself on many levels.

Step 1.  Be Still

Take time several times a day to stop and close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Scan your body from the top of your head down to your toes and just notice. Pay attention to any sensations and just notice. Be present in your body. Your body feels safe and you heal when you are consciously present in your body.

Step 2. Allow Yourself to Fall into Trance

You have a natural ability to heal and come into balance when you allow yourself to fall into trance. Just as when you dream, you have “ultradian rhythms” while you are awake.  You may notice yourself falling into trance when you are at a stop sign or when you are washing dishes. This daydreaming or spacing out regulates your mind and body and allows you to access your Intuitive Voice without effort. Honor the natural rhythm of your body. This is a vital part of self-healing.

Step 3. Notice Your Beliefs and Self-talk

Your beliefs are attitudes, viewpoints, ideas, thoughtsvaluesperceptions and more. They are not the truth, but how you organize your view to make sense of the world and give it meaning.  Notice your beliefs and what beliefs hold you back from having your desired life. Notice your self-talk. When your self-talk and beliefs are negative your whole mind/body/spirit responds with a loss of energy and you attract to yourself negative life experiences. You can increase positive beliefs and self-talk and allow yourself to be more open to hearing your Intuitive Voice and receiving healing on all levels.

Step 4. Listen with Your Body

Your body is an incredible intuitive receiver. In order to heal fully and receive intuitive messages, you need to be awareness of and listen within. Your intuition can come through imagesdreamssoundsgut feelings, a sense of knowing, hearing or sensing. In the beginning, it is common to receive messages through your gut feeling. Once this happens ask yourself “what does this mean?” You may or may not get an answer, but it is important to use your gut as a tool.  If you begin to do something and your gut alerts you, know it has to do with what you were doing or thinking. Last week I was going to go downtown Spokane and have dinner, a movie and listen to a friend play music. As I began to get ready I felt a sense of alertness and I heard a voice inside my head saying the word “alarm!” I had no idea what was happening, but the sense of alarm would not stop. Having had many experiences with my intuition, I knew to listen. I made the decision to stay home that night and the alarm ceased. Now, I could try to guess at what might have happened, but instead, I just affirmed myself for listening and went on. The more you listen to your Intuitive Voice, the more it shows up for you and the easier it is to hear.

Step 5: Access Your Self-Healing Energy

We all have subtle energy around us and we can use this energy to heal. Have you ever stubbed your toe and noticed when you put your hand on your toe it felt better. When you have been in pain has the healing touch of a loved one made a difference. You have this natural healing energy within you and you are a powerful healer. Tap into your body’s subtle energy and feel the energy in your hands when you put them on a loved one. You are surrounded by a colorful energy field that comes from the chakras in the center of your body. Take a moment to rub your hands together and then put them together palm to palm. Pull them away from each other gently and feel the powerful energy you have in your hands. This is your healing energy. The more you use it, the stronger it becomes.

Step 6: Practice Accessing Your Intuition

The best ways to access your intuition are throughMeditation and through Viewing.  With meditation you are able to quiet your mind and allow your Intuitive Voice to come through. This can happen either during the meditation or you can journal for a few minutes afterward and just let your intuition come through.  Another way is to View. Viewing can be by being in your heart or the center of your head and imaging a white screen. On the screen allow yourself to see images and when they appear you can ask what they mean and just receive. You can also use Remote Viewing where you close your eyes and you can move through time and space. You can go into the past, the present or into the future. With remote viewing you can see someone at a great distance.  This is often used by medical intuitives to help diagnose illness.

Step 7: Listen to Your Dreams

Your dreams are the place of Intuition. You receive symbolic images, messages and gain ideas and receive answers to your questions. You have access to the whole collective unconscious. Whether you remember them or not, you have between seven to nine dreams per night. This is during the REM state, where you have access to information and healing you cannot access in the daytime. Your dreams are a way that your Intuitive Self communicates with you! When you begin to honor your dreams and listen, they will show up for you more fully and guide you.  There are many guides to dream work, and what I recommend is Realities of the Dreaming Mind by Sivananda Swami Radha (2004). It is helpful to have paper and pen by your bed to collect your dreams as soon as you awake. They tend to fly away until you train yourself to catch them.

These seven steps can help you to be guided by your Intuitive Voice and create healing on all levels of your being. You cannot increase your intuition with your mind, but can access it through your heart. You must allow it to happen through ongoing gentle practice. Use the tools daily and validate your experience of Intuitive Healing.

Dreams

“I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?”

John Lennon

Whatever you believe about God or the Divine, we all share one thing in common. We all dream. Whether you have fun dreams, fantasy dreams, detailed and confusing dreams or nightmares: you do dream.

My belief is that there is a part of you that you can access what some call your “Higher Self.” This is the wise part of you that is mostly subconscious and continues to communicate with you at a subtle level. Your ego often blocks this information, in an attempt to stay in control and so you aren’t overwhelmed with too much information at once. It is a filter and the “old guard.”

book_radha_realities

Your dreams are messages from this wise “Higher Self,” and when worked with on a consistent basis or even occasionally with a powerful dream, you can change your life in amazing ways!

Many of my students and clients have said they don’t remember their dreams. The way to change this is to put a notebook and fast writing pen by your bed every night. Before you fall asleep, ask yourself to remember your dreams in the nighttime. If you awake in the night, write your dream down or do it in the morning. Remember, dreams are fleeting, so you will need to practice to capture them!

dream

For those who are techier, grab your smart phone and record the dream into it and email the message to yourself. You will be amazed to find the email in your inbox in the morning!

Reading books on dreams helps you to remember them. These are my favorite books that will not only help you remember, but will also assist you in finding out what your Higher Self has to say to you!

Spokefest – What a Ride!

It’s my view that the best exercise routine for you is the one you will do consistently.

Candess M. Campbell  –  12 Weeks to Self-Healing: Transforming Pain through Energy Medicine

Planning ahead is important. This morning here in Spokane, we have the Spokefest Event.    This is where over 2000 cyclists get together for a fun ride. If you remember, I just had my bike tuned up, but I was not tuned in. I didn’t know about the event until yesterday when I saw the signs in my neighborhood asking us to watch out for cyclists on Sunday. As I watched thousands of cyclists ride by, I am green with envy.

What I did though is put it on my calendar so I can sign up for 2015! Motivated by the energy of the riders, I’ll have my own personal ride later today and be happy that I am healthy and have a great bike.

Hope this motivates you too! Enjoy the video!

Mini Spokane

It wasn’t until I moved into Browne’s Addition that I felt truly at home in Spokane. Since then I have moved to a house down by the river. I am truly blessed.

I have been walking the Spokane River for 30 years. She has nourished me as only she can!

Scalp Acupuncture!

Thank God for acupuncture. It’s been around for 2000 years. It’s not going anyplace and people use it all of the time for a variety of cures and to avoid illnesses.     – Tim Daly

Over the years I have referred many clients of mine (as a mental health and chemical dependency counselor) to acupuncture. It has been such a gift in my life. Many years ago when I worked at TASC (Treatment Alternatives to Street Crime) we had a contract to work with women who were addicted to heroin. I was the one who would be administering the treatment. In preparation I went to Pine Lodge Prison to talk with a woman there who was providing acupuncture to inmates.

When I went into the area she set up as a clinic, there were maybe 25 chairs in a circle. She and a coworker and I were invited to sit down and she would be with us in a minute. She went around putting small acupuncture needles in the ears, hands and feet of the inmates. Then she came to me. I tend to be somewhat stand-offish at first and have good boundaries. Before I could resist, this young, energetic, confident, beautiful young woman, put needles in me!

I sat there processing what was happening and tried to stay professional. After a few minutes she said she didn’t have time to talk with me and handed me some papers about acupuncture and heroin addition.

I was set back and not very happy about the situation until I got about half way back to the office. All of the sudden, I had all this energy and felt peace come over me. This continued for the rest of the day. I felt centered, relaxed and my mind was clear. I loved it.

I called her later and set up an appointment. When she was living in Spokane and when she visited, I saw her as often as I could. Sometimes I would see her for acupuncture, but mostly because she has become my very best friend.

Feel great!

Feel great!

Now I am seeing Dr. Song for acupuncture. After I weaned myself from the Hydrocodone from my oral surgery, I took ibuprofen. It helped a little, but my energy was low and my pain was high. When I went to see Dr. Song, he did Scalp Acupuncture! It was amazing. It reminded me of the very first time I had acupuncture.

When the needles were placed in my scalp, I could feel the energy moving down my arms and down the trunk of my body, down my legs and out my feet. Having been focused on the pain in my mouth and the constant headache for days, this felt heavenly.

Scalp Acupuncture!

Scalp Acupuncture!

If you have not tried acupuncture, I strongly recommend it. Many who struggle with health issues, with depression or obesity have a lot of energy stuck in their body. You don’t feel like moving, you have no desire to do anything, and everything takes effort. Acupuncture can open up channels of energy and bring you back into balance.

Having this blog experience chronicling increasing health and exercise and losing weight has been incredible. For those following along, I hope you are getting the benefits of increased health. I would love to hear your experiences.

Accountability

“I decided to take an aerobics class. I bent… twisted… gyrated… jumped up and down… and perspired for a half an hour. But by the time I got my tights on…. the class was over!”      – Anonymous

Several years ago I wanted to begin exercising again by riding my recumbent bike for 30 minutes a day. For motivation I called my friend Cheyenne and told her my goal. For every day that week that I didn’t ride my bike, I would pay her $50. She was delighted to help. Did I ride every day that week? Of course!

money  Once I understood how motivated I was by that agreement, I used it with clients.  When they were stuck and not obtaining their goals, I made this offer. They would clearly outline their goals and I would assist them by having them write a $50 check to the charity of their choice. I’d keep the check and if they didn’t reach their goal, I’d put it in the mail to their charity. I’d even provide the stamp.  Just thinking of writing a check (money talks) motivated them to complete the goal. Accountability works.

What motivated me to write this blog, and a case in point, is that I am transcribing this blog on my iPhone while I’m walking Domingo along the Spokane river.  After spending this morning on Skype with Mahfuzul making changes on my website and creating coupon codes to give away a free CD download to my list, I really wanted to stay in my office and get the email out!

Domingo at the Spokane River

Domingo at the Spokane River

Because I have a training session with Luke, my athletic trainer tomorrow morning, I was motivated to “step away from the computer” and take a 45 minute walk in between clients. (Oh, I just found a quarter in the dirt!)

My work is fun and I love it, but I’ll have plenty of time to get back to work later. Right now I’m building my commitment to movement and exercise until my body craves it as much as my mind loves to work.

It helps to be accountable!

If you want to receive the coupon for the free download of my 12 Minute Energy Clearing CD, you can sign up on my website at http://candesscampbell.com.

I’ll set the email to go out on Friday August 22nd.

Catawampus

Catawampus arose in the United States around 1840, during a particular vogue in elaborate coinages.  Cata- stems from cater-, a now-archaic root meaning “diagonal,” while the source of -wampus  is subject to debate. – dictionary.reference.com

When I awoke this morning I had a headache, pressure in the back of my neck and I couldn’t think. I knew my back was out which affected my neck. I rolled out of bed and headed directly to my inversion board hoping that hanging would help. Nope. I waddled downstairs and hung off the seat of my barcalounger, which always works, but nope. I was determined to go to the gym anyway because today was training day. First though, I made an appointment with my chiropractor for later.

Luke Brady, my athletic trainer said we would start today with leg presses and he showed me what to do. I let him know I was catawampus, but was happy to be there. The first set (even without the weights) and my back popped in! Yippee! I shared with him and we were both happy that the results of weight training were showing up in many ways.

Having already made the appointment with Dr. Patrick Dougherty (chiropractor and friend,) I took off to share the great news with him. By the time I got to his office, I felt so much better. Dr. Pat and I have taught some Kinesiology classes together and I love his incredible skill level. (Everyone loves Dr. Pat!)

He put me on the table, did some testing and he gently shared, “I need to put your head on straight.” Any other man!!!  I was so grateful.

Dr. Pat

Dr. Pat

He did an adjustment and my body said yes!

I also had him test me for whether or not grains supported my body. In an earlier blog, I said I went off grains, but after a week, I didn’t feel any different, digestion was the same, there was not a difference in weight even though I replaced grains with vegetables and it just didn’t make sense for me to continue to stop.

He tested and said that my body did not test positive for grains, but that it was not a strong no, (my paraphrasing) and that if I did eat grains it could cause some inflammation and may make it harder to lose weight.

No longer feeling catawampus, I am just so grateful to have the support I have on my journey!

Change and Intuition Happens!

In order to play jazz, you have to be able to play the blues.  Robert Cray

There has been so much change recently!

Change usually happens in several areas of your life at once!

In addition to going to see my trainer Luke and feeling my body change, I have been getting acupuncture and am on a Chinese Herb cleanse. Now, it would be much better to shift my whole diet during this cleanse which is about six weeks, but not for me. I am enjoying my morning coffee and did have a drink when I went to see Robert Cray on Monday.

Robert Cray Rocks!

Monday night I planned to eat at PF Changs and then go to the Bing Crosby Theatre to see Robert Cray. Instead intuitively I was directed to eat closer to the theatre. I decided upon the Peacock room at Davenport Hotel. I ordered a Cesar Salad and a glass of scotch with a twist of lemon. I asked the bartender to give me my check because there was a concert and I wanted to see if I could buy a ticket from someone who had an extra. The man sitting next to me at the bar said there were still tickets left.

I asked if he were going to the show and he said, “I’m Robert Cray’s manager.” It pays to listen to your intuition. We chatted and had a great time. Didn’t have to worry about a ticket after all.

What a night!

What a night!

The Super moon seems to have had an affect on me. I have been aware at night of the energy of the moon and I felt the sensations. I slept less and of course got more done.

With all the changes it feels like I am being activated into a higher vibration. Decisions I have been pondering are becoming clearer, I am attracting collaborative people into my life for business opportunities and I am happy, happy, happy.

By the way, I am giving myself the day off of exercise today. A much needed time of rest.
